About the Gita
Some 5,000 years ago, on the historical battlefield of Kuruksetra, a mysterious figure known as Krishna (the all-attractive ) cast brilliant light on the infinite intricacies of the human condition. In 700 verses, he laid down causal links with precise philosophical foundation for the myriad weaknesses of the heart. These weaknesses keep us bound to our daily grind be it good, bad, or ugly, and ultimately revealed the keystone to unlocking the unrestricted inner bliss that is the very birthright of every living entity.

About the Discussion Group
The discussion forum is an open invitation to ardent spiritualists and skeptics alike. Whether or not you believe in God, there is an enormous amount of spiritual and psychological wisdom to be absorbed as Ram sporadically weaves in movies, live music, group projects, and field trips in parallel to the Gita's universal teachings. Before class commences, students are refreshed by the cleansing effects of mantra meditation. The class is capped with a delectable vegetarian feast cooked by Vaishnava monks, along with opportunity for free-flowing conversation in the cozy temple atmosphere. Delving into the Bhagavad-Gita in this way is a well-deserved retreat for the mind, body, and soul, amidst the fast-paced urban lifestyle of Manhattan.
